Parmalee is a Southern Country Rock band hailing from Greenville, North Carolina Their name was derived from the tiny, southern town of Parmele, NC, located a couple miles from their hometown, where they started creating music together in a small barn. Parmalee consists of lead singer and guitarist Matt Thomas, bassist and vocalist Barry Knox (Matt and Scott Thomas' cousin), Josh McSwain (lead guitar, vocals, and friend), and drummer Scott Thomas (Matt's brother). Through the band's extensive touring and self-marketing, Parmalee has become one of the top independent acts on the eastern seaboard.
2010 found Parmalee touring the East Coast while also finding a new home in the Nashville songwriting community. Now signed to Stoney Creek Records – home to Thompson Square and Randy Houser — Parmalee is set to release its first single in Summer
Touted as the break-out band of 2012, and recently signed to RCA Nashville, Bush Hawg is working on their debut CD with Music Row veteran and multi-platinum producer Michael Knox (producer of acts Jason Aldean, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry, etc).
Through constant touring and songwriting, Bush Hawg has developed their own unique sound - a blend of backwoods, blue collars, bar fights and the Bible, wrapped in an American flag and washed down with whiskey. With their high energy shows, hard-hitting guitars and drums, mixed with the lyrical style, instrumentation, and vocals of country music, Bush Hawg is breaking down the barriers of the Nashville establishment.
Bush Hawg will take you on a ride through the swamps and down the back roads of pure American country music and Southern rock-n-roll.
